Resident Automation Technician I

• Resolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible.
• Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as assigned.
• Complete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment on-site, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems.
• Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. 
• Optimize automation efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs.  Interface with the customer as needed to support operations. 
• Collaborate with the broader TGW Lifetime Services team to track, document, and communicate issues and lessons learned.

• High school diploma required.  Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or related field strongly preferred. 
• Previous experience in electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of material-handling conveyors, AS/RS, and shuttle systems preferred.
• Familiarity with HMI (human machine interface) and/or SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition interface) experience preferred.
• Experience with interpretation of engineering drawings for use in diagnostics preferred.
• Profibus and Profinet experience preferred.
